During my recent stay at the Chalets, I found a balance between luxury and value that is often hard to come by. As a history teacher from Shanghai, I appreciate a space that allows me to unwind and immerse myself in the local culture. The charming sitting area was perfect for sipping tea while I planned my next historical excursion. The outdoor dining area, complete with a view of the gardens, was a lovely way to enjoy breakfast. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms made it easy to connect with my students back home, while the flat-screen TV provided some downtime entertainment. For travelers who like to cook, the kitchenette equipped with cookware and an electric kettle is a definite bonus. Having a washing machine on-site is a fantastic feature, especially when you’re out hiking or canoeing during the day. While the Chalets might appear on the pricier side, the amenities and the unique experience they offer make it a savvy choice for those looking to delve into the area's rich history without compromising on comfort. If you seek a blend of relaxation and cultural exploration, this hotel is worth considering.
